Sinal: A strategic foundation for a new independent brand identity

How do you create a clear and credible identity for Denmark’s largest fibre network - while making its role easier to understand for partners, businesses and end-users?

Norlys Fibernet was facing an important brand strategic task. As the owner of Denmark’s largest fibre network, reaching more than 900,000 addresses and covering 40% of the country, the company played a central role in Denmark’s digital infrastructure.

But as the company operated within the same group as a customer-facing service provider, there was a need to make the distinction between infrastructure owner and service provider clearer to the market.

The new identity needed to support a more independent and clearly understood role - while still building on the responsibility, scale and credibility that were already part of the company’s foundation.

Our approach

We helped develop a strategic brand platform that could act as a shared guiding direction for the new identity.

The work focused on sharpening the company’s role, value and relevance in the market - without making the story unnecessarily complex or technical. We worked to define what the company stands for, what value it creates, and how its role could be communicated more clearly across audiences and touchpoints.

A key part of the work was to translate the company’s infrastructure role into a more accessible and meaningful narrative: a story about stable, energy-efficient and future-proof fibre connections - and the digital foundation they create for everyday life, business and society.

We also developed a core narrative that could guide future communication, identity development and internal alignment.

The result

The result was a strategic foundation that gave Sinal a clearer direction as an independent brand.

The platform brought together the company’s role around a stronger story about connection, responsibility and future-proof digital infrastructure. Not only as technology, but as a foundation for everyday life, business growth and society’s ability to stay connected.

The work gave Sinal a clear brand platform, a sharper positioning and a unifying core narrative that made the brand’s role more human, relevant and easier to communicate.

Sinal is not only about connecting addresses. It is about creating the digital foundation that people, businesses and society can build on.
